Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete P & ID drawings for compressor and generator packages
- Work with Project Engineer to design the general layout of packages in 3D using SolidWorks
- Design the structural steel skid, equipment and piping supports
- Create GA’s (plan and elevation view) with all detailed dimensions as required by the client
- Model process vessels complete with internals, external connections, and supports
- Create 3D piping spool drawing with all the details required for fabrication (flanges, Olets, weld gaps, etc.)
- Model new components in 3D and insure they are stored in an organized manner in the component library
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in designing of oil and gas equipment (preferably gas compression)
- 3D drafting experience (strong preference for applicants with SolidWorks experience)
- Good working knowledge of ASME/ANSI B31.3 (Process Piping Code) and ASME Section VIII (Pressure Vessel Code)
- Proven ability to take drawings from conception to completed fabrication drawings
- Ability to work well in a team environment as well as individually
- Ability to think “outside the box” to come up with practical solutions
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize work to meet customer deadlines
- Proficient with MS Applications (Word, Excel)
