Career Opportunity – Applications Engineer/Specialist
Location; Calgary area, AB Canada
Reporting directly to the Applications Manager the Compressor Applications Engineer/Specialist will be responsible for a variety of roles within the organization. Working with the Sales Dept, the Applications Engineer/Specialist will assist in coordinating applications activities between the Sales and Engineering teams on all Natural Gas compression application inquiries.

The Role
Duties will include, but not limited to;
- Perform complex analyses of customer needs to identify potential solutions to be offered by the company, both for the products for which the incumbent is directly responsible and others, and provides the appropriate process or equipment selection(s).
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of the processes or equipment offered by the company, possesses a broad understanding of the design/selection methods and calculations necessary to design or select the appropriate solution, and is capable of utilizing the various computer-assisted methods of performing the related tasks.
- Demonstrates expert knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of natural gas compression, treating, and hydrocarbon processing, as required by the Company product family for which the individual is responsible.
Qualifications:
- Relevant working experience in an Engineering/Specialist role for the oil, gas and/or power generation industries.
- Degree in Engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
- Fluent in Industry Standard Conventional NG and/or CBM equipment.
- Knowledge of Reciprocating Compressors with a working knowledge of Screw Compression and power generation equipment will be considered an asset.
- Good communication skills, professional attitude.
